5lb bag of carrots. Do you think I got enough? lol. That’s the perk about juicing. I find myself wasting NOTHING. I go through my fruits and vegetables so quickly nothing goes bad. I love that. I hate throwing away produce and any food really because I buy it just for myself and I can only eat so much!

Foods on a Stick
Playfulness is key when it comes to kids trying new foods, and eating is always more fun when the food’s on a stick. Cut off the sharp tips from bamboo skewers and thread the sticks with fresh fruit cut up into bite-size pieces. (Young kids can choke on whole grapes; never give them to children under 4.) Want to go savory? Spear skewers with cooked ziti, diced cooked chicken, and cheddar cheese cubes.

Garlic Fries
Tossing the fries in a small amount of butter and garlic after cooking makes them unbelievably rich, yet still lower in fat than fast-food fries.

Ingredients

 4 teaspoons vegetable oil
 3/4 teaspoon salt
    Cooking spray
 2 tablespoons butter
8   garlic cloves, minced (about 5 teaspoons)
2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley
2 tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation
Preheat oven to 400°.
Combine first 3 ingredients in a large zip-top plastic bag, tossing to coat.
Arrange potatoes in a single layer on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray. Bake at 400° for 50 minutes or until potatoes are tender and golden brown, turning after 20 minutes.
Place butter and garlic in a large nonstick skillet; cook over low heat 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Add potatoes, parsley, and cheese to pan; toss to coat. Serve immediately.
